Van Wijnen Engineering
Van Wijnen Engineering has been focusing on automating their work processes for a long time. The tools they have developed for this were functional but could not be integrated into one central application. This made maintenance of these tools difficult. Ultimately, Vlieg Engineering was asked to do something about this. Our answer was Constructronix.
The goal of Constructronix was to create one central application with which the constructor's work could be automated even further. Constructors have to contend with repetitive but complex tasks in their work. These tasks are much more difficult to automate than you might think initially, because you have to deal with geometry and its interpretation. Many decisions have to be made to say something meaningful about geometric input.
After identifying the desired functionality and formulating an action plan, the software architecture was set up and Constructronix was created for this purpose. Constructronix now serves as a central portal where projects can be managed. This way, the responsibilities remain with the right people and there is therefore one truth. And because Constructronix is able to communicate with different software packages such as Tekla Structures and AxisVM, this greatly reduces the risk of errors, for example when the same geometry is needed in different software.
We are currently still working hard on Constructronix. The software is improving every week.
